David L. Pontius

Dave L. Pontius joined Bluegreen in 2007 as Senior Vice President and President, Bluegreen Resorts, and was promoted to President of Bluegreen Management Services in 2009 when Bluegreen transformed the resort and resort management operation into a major revenue-driven operation of the company. Mr. Pontius has 27 years of experience in the vacation ownership industry, including extensive experience in sales, marketing, product development and finance. From 2002-2007, Mr. Pontius worked at Wyndham Vacation Ownership, Inc. and its sister company RCI Global Vacation Network (RCI). From 2006-2007, he served as Executive Vice President, Hospitality, Strategic Planning and Chief Customer Officer at Wyndham Vacation Ownership. In this capacity, he authored and directed various initiatives aimed at improving customer service and satisfaction, and held responsibility for every facet of the Hospitality Division including resort operations and service delivery to more than 800,000 owners. Additionally, he led the company’s overall strategic planning activities, new program initiatives and the development of a fractional product for the luxury segment. From 2002-2006, Mr. Pontius served as President and CEO of RCI North America where he oversaw the region's business-to-business and business-to-consumer operations. From 1996-2002, Mr. Pontius served in positions of increasing responsibilities at Hilton Grand Vacations where he finished as Senior Vice President of Operations. From 1992-1996, Mr. Pontius served as Chief Operating Officer of Vacation Internationale, one of the pioneer companies in timesharing and points-based clubs.
