The Bridges at Preston Crossings proudly welcomed two Iraqi war veterans into the community yesterday in Gunter, Texas. Sergeant Levi Wilson and his wife, Katie, of Fort Worth, Texas as well as Sergeant First Class Alan Hornaday and his wife, Sheila, of Fordyce, Arkansas will soon call The Bridges home thanks to Bluegreen Communities' participation in Operation FINALLY HOME, an organization that honors wounded and disabled veterans with land and custom-built homes.
The families just learned last week that they had been selected as the recipients of the land and homes and couldn't be more excited! They visited their future home sites for the first time yesterday and were honored with a celebration at The Bridges Golf Club. Bluegreen Communities CEO, Dan Koscher, presented the families with "Future Home Of" signs on their lots and welcomed them into The Bridges community. The Wilson and Hornaday families toured the property and checked out all that their new home has to offer including a Fred Couples Signature Golf Course, first-class equestrian center, and a 24-acre fishing and canoeing lake, among other amenities.
